Cutting Machine Basics: Sewing With The Cricut

Hi everyone! Are you ready for this? It’s time to discuss cutting fabric with a cutting machine!
This week, Donna will be sharing about Cricut’s Rotary Blade technology which makes it possible to cut fabric on the Fabric Grip Mat without the need for bonding the fabric! She will also discuss the Bonded Fabric Blade and when you might prefer to use it.
The SVG file this week is from the Peplum Top pattern by Liberty Jane Clothing. Donna will also share the secrets of creating a cut file in Cricut Design Space using that pattern. You will be able to take this information and create your own personal cut files from any PDF pattern pieces that will fit on the cutting mat. You won’t want to miss that! (Just remember that this type of cutting design would be for personal use only because you are duplicating the copyrighted pattern pieces).
Grab your note pad and get ready to learn something new. This is what we’ve all been waiting for!
Thank you for joining us on this topic. There is still so much more to learn about and do with cutting machines, but we hope we have shown you enough to help you make an informed decision as to whether you will be adding one of these to your list of tools! I’ve certainly learned a lot this month and hope you have too!
