Hello from Naperville, Illinois! Glad to meet all of you!
My name is Teresa & I am a doll enthusiast (can't say collector since I don't have the funds to spend). Married 45 years & too close to 70yo. While I have AG Samantha & Addy & Bitty Baby and I have Carpatina Dolls Emma (the original Emma) & Prince Stephan, they were all gifts. Bitty Baby Honoria is particularly precious to me. When my children came to understand that a new brother or sister would never arrive because, for medical reasons, I could no longer get pregnant, they saved their money & Honoria arrived at Christmas to become a real family member. Even my husband speaks to her as a real person.
My children are 30-somethings with my son's wedding finally in October. No grandbabies so I am now sewing or my doll/children. Because of limited income, I am slowly buying fabric & trims - Goodwill is a great resoursce. I do have a couple of local doll friends who are equally as old & we are hoping to get together post covid, just like we did before covid.
I joined in December as a birthday gift to myself & I am looking forward to reviving old skills & learning new skills. I began sewing way back when Grandma taught me in 5th grade & really got back into it after I had my daughter. Then Martha Pullen arrived on the scene to get me excited about sewing again. So I am so looking forward to applying my heirloom sewing skills to my dolls outfits.
Excuse this computer idiot but, I am a little a little confused. Can we download our lessons or just watch on the computer? If we can download them, how do I do that?
