Do you fear shopping online for fabric? Join us for this live chat where we talk about the things we do to solve common challenges and successfully purchase fabrics online!
I'm joined by both Shari and Donna, over zoom, for a 20 minute discussion. This is the first of three chats we'll be doing for this series. We hope you enjoy it and it helps you to feel more confident when shopping online too!
My best suggestion for overcoming the "touch & feel" challenge is to create a swatch book (or textile kit). You'll fine a PDF download available so you can make your own.
Looking for a resource for fabric swatches? Here are a few:
1. Vogue Fabrics has a swatch club you can subscribe to.

2. Mood Fabrics is the site that I got my swatches from, they no longer have a swatch club subscription, but they do offer swatches for $1.50 or they let you add them for free when ordering other items.

Mood Fabrics also has a Remnants section! Yay! Here you'll find fabric that are 50% off ranging from .5 yard to 5 yards. It's a great way to snag .5 yard cuts for a great price!

The site we mentioned with the video clips for the various fabrics is Fabric Wholesale Direct. Even if you don't want to order from them, this might be a good resource for seeing the fabric drape, stretch, or feel.

Be sure to download the Ultimate Resource Guide as well! It has lists and links to many of the items we recommend including some of our fabric sites for buying fabric!
